STELLAN NEEDS YOUR PRAYERS!

Attention all blog readers! As you know, I am slightly terribly obsessed with MckMama and her family. And right now, Stellan is being airlifted to Boston for treatment on his poor, tired heart. He needs all of the prayers and thoughts you can offer him, as do his family and especially his doctors. Pray for wisdom, patience, healing, and peace.

As for us, Kingston is feeling fine if not a little, or a lot, overtired and not napping. I'm fine, if not a little, or a lot, lazy and not cleaning my dirty house. And Nigel is laid up in the bed with major lower back muscle spasms. He is in a ton of pain and is being a total pain like all men do when they have an injury or illness being a total trooper. Looks like thunder storms for this afternoon and it is hot as blazes. It will be a miracle if we survive this afternoon together in this house. Just kidding. We will survive.

And we would like for Stellan to survive so we will pass that mirale on to him. Get better, buddy! We're all praying!

Honorable MckMention

Obsessed as I am with the My Charming Kids blog, I have again participated in a Name that Photo contest. And I got mentioned on MckMama's blog! Hooray! I have arrived.

So having said that, I feel the pressure to write a really fun and exciting post, seeing as how she linked to me on her blog, which means I should get some new traffic. Hello and welcome new friends! Come back again if you are interested in reading about pretty much nothing of great consequence.

-----
Kingston participated in his second day of daycare today. Ms. Cindy called at about 10:30 to report that he had stopped crying by the time I had gotten in my car this morning! He did great all day. She said he needs to learn to stop freaking at diaper changing (oops) and to realize that he can't always get his way (he can't?!) but other than that he is a very good boy. She said we should be very proud of him, and we are. A good report card. Whew!

He was totally exhausted when he got home, signing over and over that he was hungry. I think when he gets tired he thinks he needs to eat to keep himself awake! We will work on that one, too. He is currently in bed and has been since 7:15. I think that is the earliest he has ever gone to bed! Worn out for sure. He goes back on Tuesday and should do just fine again.

On a totally and completely other note, you should see the burgers that I made on Super Bowl Sunday! I could have cared less about the game but really wanted some "game day food" so I turned to a burger. I have recently gotten into reading The Pioneer Woman blog for some good food inspiration and ideas. The burger she cooked and described last week had me intrigued, so I went for it. Check it out! Her picture was much prettier, but I added homemade sweet potato fries, so I think I get a few points for that, right?

It was huge and delicious! It really hit the spot. I recommend it for a different sort of burger, although I will admit I do love a plain old cheeseburger, too. I've already eaten dinner but I really wish I had one of these burgers right this minute, and I'm sure you do too!

An update on daycare and a picture of a good burger. Pretty fun and exciting, I think. I hope you enjoyed. That was the best I've got. And that was me showing off.

What I Would/Wouldn't Do For This. . .

Is the saying "what I would" or "what I wouldn't" do for something? I can never remember. Maybe it's either, depending on how you want it to go. Anyway. . .

To win this camera and package, I would do just about anything. It is AMAZING. And to get it, all you have to do is donate to these charities. Pretty cool. I haven't actually donated yet, seeing as how every $10 I have is going to more important things like the power bill and the groceries (oooh, I have a cool post on groceries to do soon. Stay tuned for that!), but if I find myself with an extra $10 in the next week, I'm definitely going to enter this contest/fundraising event. I encourage you to do the same. Maybe if you win you would consider giving me the camera package, you know, since I REALLY want it. Of course, since very few posts are posted without mentionind MckMama and her blog, I have to admit that this came from her. She shoots her amazing pictures with a camera like this and I have always been totally jealous. So anyway, click on the icon above and check out the details of the giveaway. Thanks.

Small FryDay Contest!

It's been, like, weeks since I've blogged about MckMama and her brood. Stellan is fitting right in and not sleeping a ton, as most newborns do! He is healthy and the family is happy! Hooray!

And to pay us all back for reading and praying and following her blog, MckMama is hosting a contest. I'm not exactly sure of what the big prize will be, but I'm always up for a contest and I DO love to win stuff! So here I am, following the rules (as I almost always do) and I am posting about the Small FryDay Contest! Hello MckMama! We're here, and I'm thinking about approaching you with an arranged marriage offer for Kingston and Small Fry. I think they might get along just fine! So don't be alarmed if I hit you up about that some time soon. (Joking, but Small Fry sure is cute!)

Anyway, thanks for reading and please visit My Charming Kids and see what the busy family is up to now. Wish me luck in the contest!

We are off to a birthday party, a visit with Nana and Grandpa, and various other fun Saturday things.
